Survey of Empty Containers
Empty units are submitted to an inspection when they are collected from the sea carrier’s depot. A light test verifies their true condition. Criteria such as cleanliness, odor and mechanical damages are considered and if found unsuitable, a unit is replaced to prevent potential cargo loss and the avoidable extra expense involved in the removal and repair of a unit.
